Henry Odum, PE

Mechanical Engineer

Henry Odum’s work primarily focuses on HVAC design, energy code guidance, and green building certification documentation for a variety of commercial building types. He assists in all facets of the design process, from early feasibility studies of building systems to construction administration support. Henry has provided energy code compliance services for dozens of projects seeking Section C407 (Total Building Performance Path) of the Washington State and Seattle Energy Codes. In 2019, he completed the energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis for updates to the residential provisions of the Washington State Energy Code – aimed to conserve an additional 9% over the 2006 baseline energy use and to keep Washington State on track towards its 70% energy reduction goal by 2031. Along with energy modeling and design work, he has conducted energy audits and taken part in field studies to better understand and reduce the energy consumption of existing buildings.
